Hannah Diment is an upcoming Spring 2024 graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University with a BFA in Communication Arts and an Art History minor. Growing up in Appalachia, more specifically the Shenandoah Valley, started Hannah’s appreciation of nature and influenced what kind of art she creates today. She is interested in environmental design and children’s illustration, and she takes inspiration from what her younger self loved. Hannah works in both digital and traditional media, but she particularly enjoys collage for its unique materials. Her collage work uses bright colors and delicately cut paper elements that give a unique nostalgic and childlike feeling. Hannah hopes her work brings viewers a sense of comfort and belonging, and inspires them to reconnect with what once brought them joy.
